- Provide overall field leadership and coordination for McElhanney’s full site team of approximately 16–20 personnel
- Oversee site operations across road construction oversight, environmental compliance, laboratory operations, and geochemical sampling programs
- Act as McElhanney’s primary point of contact for the Client’s Project Manager
- Lead daily internal construction and coordination meetings
- Participate in external daily planning meetings with the Client and other vendors
- Ensure discipline leads (RERs, lab supervisors, and sampling leads) provide timely inputs to consolidated daily reporting
- Prepare and deliver McElhanney’s daily client report
- Monitor overall progress across all site scopes and identify emerging risks early
- Maintain strong alignment between construction sequencing, lab operations, and sampling activities
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all McElhanney personnel
- Conduct regular field walk-downs and maintain visible leadership presence
- Support incident investigations, emergency response coordination, and corrective action follow-up
- Maintain professional and constructive relationships with contractors, client representatives, regulators (as requested), and other site stakeholders
- 10+ years of experience in field construction leadership, site operations management, or safety leadership roles
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in mining, heavy civil, or large-scale resource infrastructure environments
- Demonstrated ability to oversee both construction and operational support functions simultaneously
- Strong safety background; credentials such as NCSO, CSO, NEBOSH, Mine Manager certification, or similar are considered strong assets
- Experience leading daily site coordination meetings and interfacing directly with client project managers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize multiple discipline inputs into clear reporting
- Experience working in remote, camp-based environments with rotational schedules
- Comfort operating in mountainous terrain and variable weather conditions
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Ability to meet site access requirements, including pre-hire and ongoing randomized drug and alcohol testing
