You will have exposure to different areas within the group such as Dufferin Aggregates, Dufferin Concrete, Ontario Ready Mix and the CRH cement plant. The position requires a strong performer who can work independently and effectively within the team.Responsibilities:
- Perform sampling and testing of aggregates to ensure compliance with plant and regulatory specifications.
- Record, analyze, and interpret test data, maintaining accurate daily logs and supporting quality investigations.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment, including preventive and general maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with field technicians, lab personnel, plant operators, and supervisors to communicate quality objectives and results.
- Identify and report quality issues, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
- Support additional quality-related activities as assigned, ensuring alignment with business goals and standards.
- Diploma or degree in Civil, Geological, Materials Engineering, or related field; or OACETT registration.
- Knowledge of aggregate testing and OH&S regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Valid G-class driver's license.
- Able to work outdoors in varying conditions.
