This role supports smooth and compliant import operations by ensuring accurate data entry, proper documentation, and effective communication with internal teams, customers, and government agencies.Job-Type: Full-Time | PermanentModality: RemoteWorkdays: Friday to TuesdayWork hours: 9:00pm - 5:30amStarting rate: $17.85/hr.Key Responsibilities
  • Process customs releases and/or confirm declarations for shipments, creating or modifying line codes/classifications in the CCBS system.
  • Handle delivery service requests, import permits, and ensure timely submission of required documentation to government authorities.
  • Open and maintain customer files, validate information, and support credit and invoicing processes.
  • Collect and verify supplementary documentation from customers, drivers, customs offices, and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in customer profiles.
  • Respond to routine inquiries from customers, drivers, customs, and related parties.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients, UPS SCS employees, carriers, and inbound agents to ensure efficient customs operations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months to 2 years of relevant experience in customs, logistics, or related fields.
  • Bilingual (intermediate or higher), required in Quebec.
  • Basic knowledge of customs operations, laws, regulations, and other government department requirements.
  • Familiarity with the Harmonized System (HS) of tariff classification.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
