An equal opportunity employer prizing diversity, integrity and collaboration, we are committed to growing MDA’s and Canada’s leadership in this next golden age.Role :The System Engineer will be supporting V&V activities in relation to SIL, HIL, Test Plans & Test Methods definitions, EGSEs definition support, System Integration in support of MDA Telecommunication or remote Sensing satellites.Tasks :
  • Define, Support, coordinate, write engineering documentations and requirements, tracing, verification and validation, Test Plans, SOC, design description...
  • Participate in cross-functional teams.
  • Production of relevant EGSE requirements & documentation, as needed.
  • Support Satellite equipment and software Integration, including development flasats.
  • Attend test milestone reviews: TRR, TRB, DRB, and NCR’s
  • Support Satellite and payload testing: EGSE, Test supervision, data analysis, trending…
  • Support Satellite tests at S/C supplier premises or selected Test house.
  • Support Launch phases, EOC, LEOP & In-Orbit Test (IOT)
  • Write up Satellite Operations Manual, as needed
Required Qualifications :
  • Electrical Engineering degree or higher in relevant field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in System engineering (design and V&V), testing Electronic and control systems, communications subsystems
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications skills in French, knowledge of English is an asset ( (Product development for customers outside Quebec).
  • Experience with laboratory measuring instruments and data analysis
  • Knowledge of Signal Processing theory
  • Knowledge of Orbital Mechanic and Spacecraft modes
  • Knowledge/experience in the programming languages such as Matlab or Python
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as CANbus, SpaceWire, SPI serial link
