We're Hiring: R&D Fabrication Manager – La Salle, MBWe are growing our Research & Development team and looking for a Fabrication Manager to help us bring innovative new equipment to life. If you're a hands-on leader with a passion for manufacturing excellence and building high-performing teams, this is your opportunity to help shape the future of our operations.As the R&D Fabrication Manager, you’ll oversee the fabrication of machines and equipment that support both our internal production needs and external sales. You’ll lead a team of fabricators with various specialized skills and drive continuous improvement in a facility where innovation, safety, and lean practices go hand in hand.What You’ll Do in the Role:
  • Lead, train, and support a team of skilled fabricators working on prototypes and new production machinery
  • Oversee fabrication schedules, workflow planning, and material coordination using lean principles
  • Collaborate with engineering to bring machine designs to life—on time, on budget, and to spec
  • Manage fabrication inventory and maintain detailed records for production projects
  • Contribute to long-term capacity planning, budgeting, and strategy development for fabrication operations
  • Occasionally travel to support installations or upgrades at off-site locations

What We’re Looking For:
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing skilled trades or fabrication teams
  • Background in metal fabrication, machining, or industrial manufacturing
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Familiar with lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kanban, pull systems, etc.)
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for off-site work as needed
  • Experience in new product or machine development
