A Fuel Truck Driver is responsible for transporting and delivering fuel (gasoline, diesel, aviation fuel, or other petroleum products) safely to customer locations such as gas stations, construction sites, airports, and industrial facilities. The role requires strict adherence to safety regulations, proper handling of hazardous materials, and maintaining accurate delivery records.Key ResponsibilitiesTransport fuel from terminals to customer locations using tanker trucksLoad and unload fuel safely following hazardous materials proceduresConduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and tankerFollow all transportation regulations and safety standardsMaintain delivery logs, fuel tickets, and required documentationMonitor vehicle performance and report maintenance issuesEnsure proper handling and storage of fuel productsProvide professional customer service during deliveriesComply with environmental and safety regulationsSkills and QualificationsValid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or equivalent (e.g., AZ license in Canada)TDG / Hazmat certification for transporting dangerous goodsExperience operating tanker trucks preferredStrong knowledge of safety procedures and transportation regulationsGood time management and route planning skillsAbility to work independently and in varying weather conditionsPhysically able to handle hoses and equipment used for fuel transferWork EnvironmentLong hours driving and delivering fuelWork outdoors in various weather conditionsStrict safety compliance due to hazardous materials
