- Producing quotations and suggesting pricing levels
- Maintaining direct (in-person) and indirect (virtual) relationships with existing customers.
- Visiting potential customers to demonstrate products and grow market share.
- Advising on upcoming product developments
- Negotiating variations in price, delivery, and specifications
- Technical support regarding application of products
- Communicating new product requests to various supporting departments
- Attending industry trade shows
- Supporting and growing important key-accounts
- Being able to help with entering customer orders.
- Working with the production control group to expedite order production.
- Working with customers to streamline ordering methods.
- Product configuration for custom / special applications
- Work with support departments to meet or exceed 98% on-time delivery.
- Understanding cost structure
- Preferably 5 years' experience in a B2B sales, garage door industry experience is an asset.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience coupled with formal sales process training.
- Effective computer skills including familiarity with ERP and CRM software as well as MS Office programs.
- Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to negotiate variations in pricing, delivery and specifications.
- Analytical and detail oriented with an ability to understand manufacturing costs.
- A people-oriented approach, ability to communicate effectively with others and to build a positive relationship within all levels of organization.
- Able to consistently represent the company in a professional and ethical manner.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and improve.
- Keen problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management with an ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Able to fully understand and elucidate the value proposition of our products.
