Sr. Accountant

• Prepare, review, and reconcile account balances to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards.

• Manage balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

• Process and post journal entries, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.

• Support the month-end closing process by preparing financial statements and reports.

• Reconcile interim and year end physical inventory counts to the general ledger, determines the source of discrepancies and ensures proper corrections are completed.

• Prepares and remits provincial sales taxes monthly for all entity companies and ensures any necessary year end adjustments are made.

• Provide backup support for ongoing projects and assist in fulfilling additional accounting duties.

• Support year-end external audit.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Designated CPA, or in the CPA program.

• Proven experience in account reconciliation and general ledger management.

• Strong understanding of balance sheet and bank reconciliation processes.

• Proficiency in journal entry preparation and month-end close procedures.

• Proficiency using Accounting Software Packages and Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with complex financial data.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.

• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
