- Permitting and Licensing: Support and coordinate the process of obtaining all necessary permits and licenses for projects, ensuring compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
- Approval Support: Support the approval process for projects, coordinating with relevant authorities and stakeholders to secure timely approvals.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed records of all permits, licenses, and approvals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to permits, licenses, and approvals, and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on changes in regulations and standards, ensuring all projects comply with the latest requirements.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Lead and leadership team on the status of permits, licenses, and approvals, highlighting any issues or delays.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in permitting, licensing, and approvals, preferably within the planning or construction industry.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Certifications: Registered Professional Planner (or working towards certification as a candidate) is mandatory. Relevant certifications in project management or regulatory compliance are a plus.
- Project Management: Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of local, provincial, and federal regulations related to permits, licenses, and approvals.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
