It is one of the most exciting times to join the Subway team and contribute to our transformational journey.About the Role:We have an exciting opportunity to support our Analytics team as Manager, Operations & Business Analytics based in Toronto. The Manager of Operations Business Analytics role leverages data and analytics to support operational performance, improve franchisee profitability, and guide decision-making across the Canadian business. This role is suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is naturally curious, and enjoys using data to solve complex business problems in partnership with Operations and cross-functional teams.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Partner with Field Operations to evaluate performance trends and provide actionable insights that support market growth, sales, traffic, productivity, and profitability
  • Build and maintain operational reporting, dashboards, and tools that streamline analysis and improve visibility into business performance
  • Provide partial analytical support to Marketing, including KPI tracking, campaign performance reporting, and market-level insights to support strategy
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across Operations, Marketing, HR, and Finance to align on KPIs, ensure data consistency, and support decision-making
  • Support test markets and pilots through data collection, forecasting, pre/post test analysis, and recommendations that inform national launch decisions
  • Contribute to data quality, process improvements, and analytics best practices across the organization
  • Collaborate with Global partners to share learnings and best practices
  • Provide ad-hoc decision-support to business leaders as needed
Qualifications (some examples listed below):
  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Business, Math, Statistics or related field required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in analytics, business insights, or business intelligence—preferably in consumer-facing, retail, or multi-unit businesses
  • Advanced ability in SQL and Excel are required; proficiency with BI tools like Alteryx and Tableau, as well as statistical programs like R and Python are considered an asset
  • Strong business and data analytics acumen with the ability to simplify complex data into clear business outcomes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
  • Experience in QSR, retail, or multi-unit environments considered an asset
  • Interpersonal, relationship-building and networking skills with a self-motivated attitude to work.
  • Language requirements: Fluent in English – any additional language a plus.

Compensation: The base pay range for this role is $90,600 – $113,200 CAD annuallyPay within this range will be determined in good faith based on job-related factors, which may include skills, experience, education/training, location, and internal equity.Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, qualifications, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
