You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to shape features that are both intelligent and human-centered, balancing innovation with usability. This role is ideal for designers who are hands-on, curious, and eager to explore how AI is reshaping user expectations.Your ImpactIn this role, you'll have the opportunity to:
  • Develop user-centered design solutions from concept to execution, balancing aesthetics with functionality to enhance the overall user experience.
  • Lead the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and design specs that align with Vendasta’s strategic goals, collaborating across disciplines to bring ideas to life with clarity and impact.
  • Explore and design AI-powered experiences that are context-aware, proactive, and user-driven, ensuring AI enhances rather than overwhelms.
  • Contribute to and evolve our design system, ensuring cohesion, accessibility, and adaptability as the platform scales and integrates new technologies.
  • Advocate for inclusive, evidence-based design practices, infusing research insights and feedback into every stage of the process to meet both business and user goals.
  • Stay ahead of emerging tools and shifts in user behavior, continuously experimenting with how AI and automation can augment design workflows and unlock new possibilities.
What You Bring to the TableYou’re a thoughtful, curious designer who blends craft with strategy – someone who thrives in ambiguity, embraces new tools, and designs with both empathy and impact.Required Experience & Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in product design or UX, with a portfolio that demonstrates ownership of end-to-end projects from problem framing to polished execution.
  • Deep proficiency with Figma and familiarity with tools like Adobe Creative Suite; bonus if you’ve experimented with AI-enhanced design tools (e.g. v0, Stitch, Lovable).
  • Strong grasp of UX and interaction design principles, with a keen eye for usability, accessibility, and systems thinking.
Experience designing and maintaining scalable design systems across complex products or platforms. * Awareness of how AI is reshaping user behavior and expectations (e.g. conversational interfaces, predictive features, or adaptive UI patterns).
  • A learning mindset: you actively explore how AI can augment the design process, even if you haven’t yet worked on an AI-native product.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally, communicate design decisions clearly, and build alignment across teams.
