This role will report to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor.SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:As outlined by Ontario Ministry of Colleges trade # 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright
  • Acquire and utilize VCPS knowledge as defined and required
  • Maintain clean and safe work area
  • Job site clean up
  • Safe work practices
  • Maintain clean and safe tools; equipment; trucks
  • All duties and tasks related to the millwright trade assigned
  • Ability to search equipment, parts work orders etc. within the Maximo System
  • Ability to use the computer and related programs as needed to perform their jobs.
  • Attendance of Safety, Results, Plant General Meetings as required
  • will participate in the call - in system
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND/OR TRAINING:
  • Certification of Qualification Millwright is required
  • Possess strength and stamina required to work with heavy equipment weighing in excess of 25 kilograms (50 pounds).
  • Good coordination and manual dexterity
  • The ability to visualize a layout by looking at plans and blueprints
  • The ability to comprehend and trouble-shoot mechanical systems
  • The ability to work as a team.
  • Wear and use appropriate PPE's - hardhat, safety glasses, green patch boots,
  • Gloves, respirators, face shields, welding helmets, harnesses and lanyards,
  • General equipment cleaning and housekeeping
  • $44.04 per hour plus $3.00 per hour skilled trades premium.
  • Day shift with flexibility to work 12 hour rotating shifts.
