Contract Administrator – Water

- Work with the project team, client, and contractor to resolve technical field issues.
- Review submittals, as-builts, and asset management documents for commissioning and handover.
- Monitor quality, performance, and code compliance.
- Coordinate inspections, provide project updates, manage payment applications, and respond to RFIs/submittals.
- Issue RFQs, Change Directives, and Site Instructions.
- Support change order negotiations and assist with delay and claim resolution.
- Document and participate in onsite construction and commissioning meetings.
- Coordinate testing and commissioning activities, including process equipment.
- Act as AECOM's Onsite Safety Officer.
- Certify contractor payments and manage statutory holdbacks per the Construction Act.
- Maintain QA/QC documentation and ensure compliance with Region of Peel standards (PIPM, OPS).
- Coordinate with stakeholders and support risk, schedule, and cost management.
- Support dispute resolution and claims management.
- 6+ years of Contract Administration experience in a field role, ideally on a municipal water or wastewater infrastructure project
- Certified or eligible for certification as a C.E.T and a member of the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists, or bachelor's degree in engineering and registered P.Eng. in Ontario or eligible within 12 months.
- Valid driving license and access to own vehicle.
- 10+ years of experience in a field role on municipal water or wastewater infrastructure projects and experience providing contract administration and/or site inspection
- Understanding of construction project sequencing (e.g., mobilization, shop drawing reviews, construction, start-up and commissioning, project closeout, etc.)
- Able to read and interpret engineering construction drawings and specifications
- Ability to work in teams, respond to changing demands, be decisive under pressure, and can remain calm when interfacing with internal and external personnel
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills
- Supervised construction related to vertical infrastructure (i.e., concrete structures, buildings, process equipment, HVAC and plumbing, electrical works, I&C works).
- Process equipment commissioning experience
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes and regulations
