We service a portfolio of state of the art commercial, residential, and mixed-use properties in Ottawa, the GTA and Southwestern Ontario, Gatineau, and Atlantic Canada.At a glance:Who: An individual with a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent organizational and communication skills who is able to manage multiple objectives.What: Oversees and manages the administration and logistical aspects of construction projects, helping to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.Where: Ottawa, ON.Reporting to the Senior Construction Manager, the Construction Coordinator provides support to the Development team for the implementation of construction projects from start to finish. Project support activities may include, but are not limited to: project coordination, financial services, managing communication.What you'll be doing:
  • Support the day-to-day administrative requirements of all ongoing construction projects & contracts.
  • Input all budgets and billable items into Yardi for work approvals, generation of purchase orders and project cost tracking.
  • Assist with construction project planning, start-up and execution.
  • Assist in creating and issuing monthly reports.
  • Vendor management.
  • Review project documents to ensure consistency in information.
  • Identify conflict between contract documents and invoices received.
  • Monitor and ensure all project information is kept up to date.
  • Track projects and ensure they stay with approved budgets.
  • Schedule and attend meetings. Write and distribute minutes.
  • Quality control of suites and common areas.
  • On-site inspections.
  • Other duties as reasonably required.

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction or related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years' construction project coordination experience.
  • Experience working with construction budgets.
  • Experience working in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word); experience with Yardi software an asset.
  • Valid Class G Driver’s License and access to own vehicle is an asset (roles requires on-site presence at multiple locations).
  • Superior communication skills, verbal and written; bilingual (English & French) is an asset.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple objectives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in a real estate or related environment considered an asset.
