
Real Estate Development Manager

- Responsible from planning through execution and delivery of several Real Estate Development and/or sales projects
- Initiate and develop portfolio optimization studies.
- Analyze, evaluate, present and advocate for new development or sales opportunities which support the organization goal, including office space, technical space, land, towers sites, media facilities.
- Coordinate and execute necessary due diligence: Market studies, land surveys, valuation assessments, consultant review, project costing, technical work etc. as required.
- Establish opportunity budgets for financial and strategic planning.
- Maintain an organized record of all documents, contracts and related paperwork.
- Provide consulting and subject matter expertise on Asset disposition strategies that will maximize value
- Advocate for client in direct dealings with developers, jurisdictions and/or any other parties with respect to asset disposition opportunities
- Provide information and support for decisions regarding material transactions support client strategies
- Create proposals, alternatives and options for client review and approval
- Provide assessments on third party proposals and engage with relevant internal and external stakeholders for required reviews and recommendations
- Report regularly to senior management and others on the status of activity and planning.
- Communicate effectively and coordinate with various departments and external concerned parties (City, developers, consultants) to ensure smooth execution of real estate projects.
- Ensure that all pertinent information regarding the projects is provided to all members of the team concerned in a prompt and clear fashion.
- Ensure projects conform to BCE financial goals, municipal and partner agreements.
- 5+ years of experience in real estate development.
- Degree in Urban Planning, Urban Geography, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Finance (and /or other RE related education and experience)
- Land assembly and municipal planning activities (zoning, variances, approval processes).
- Project coordination, management and leadership.
- Project budgeting and scheduling.
- Construction and building codes.
- Conceptual and design development.
- Financial modeling and analytics.
- Presentation and report writing.
- Assessing sale/development value
- Managing multiple projects at once with varying budgets.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment High tolerance of ambiguity as well as possessing diplomatic skills
- Bilingual (English and French) is an asset.
