Can you see yourself providing administrative and technical support to the delivery of a broad range of training and development services? Do you want to work in an environment where you will be responsible for communication with various business units to identify training needs and assist with mapping out development plans for teams and individuals? Our Chalk River location is looking for an RP(Radiation Protection) Training Coordinator to track and coordinate training activities effectively and efficiently.What will you be doing !
  • Contributing to scheduling courses company-wide.
  • Interacting within a team and/or with internal clients to action training registrations/cancellations, respond to written and verbal training enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Working with the Training Consultants to help design or modify programs and curriculum to ensure department goals are met.Continuously managing the training program matrices in a fashion which keeps the programs on schedule and within budget constraints.
  • Working with the Training Consultants to ensure examinations are managed in such a way as to be current and allow for fair assessment of individual department members. In addition, examination results shall be managed such that the effectiveness of the training program can be evaluated.
  • Maintaining records of course completion and learner attendance in the Learning Management System(LMS).
  • Filing of hard copy records and uploading records to CNLs Electronic Documents and Records Management System (ATOM).
  • Coordinating, monitoring and reporting on training activities to assure individual/facility/program compliance to training plan curriculum requirements and licence conditions.
  • Developing training reports and documents for all department personnel, as required.
  • Assisting the Training Consultants to document all training deliverables and outcomes.
  • Conversing and working with employees from all levels of the organization and external training providers.
  • Assisting in peer training of junior/new employees.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.

Delivering services to customers promptly, with courtesy and providing extra effort and follow-up are critical to the department’s business.
  • Assist with analyzing training needs, design of learning objectives and course materials.
  • Demonstrate advanced verbal and written communication skills to communicate with broad range of audiences, one-on-one and in a group setting/classroom setting.
  • Be innovative and resourceful with the ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Work under pressure in an unstructured environment.
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills.
  • Coordinate and facilitate activities though online collaboration and training platforms.
  • Proficient in using MS Office suite programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Explorer, and Access).
  • Strong attention to detail, including self-checking and verification steps, is essential to mitigate any potential data errors in the LMS or when providing customers with reports.
  • Experience:
  • 5-7 years related experience preferably working in a training environment would be an asset.
  • Strong knowledge base of online and virtual curricular platforms for both students and adults.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current adult learning theories, principles, program design strategies, technologies, trends and best practices applicable to both online and instructor-led learning programs.
  • Familiarity with various learning delivery models, including online, blended, and classroom; knowledge of the theories and practices of e-learning and the implementation of synchronous learning environments.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems; familiarity with virtual classroom and with multimedia and web design technologies.
  • Experience in using (ITSM) IT Service Management software applications is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of CNLs Procurement Process to procure external training services, knowledge of CNL's policies and procedures as they relate to training, document control, protection of information etc.
  • Education:
  • Post-secondary education, preferably in a human resources, administrative, or business-related field.
  • Security clearance eligibility required: Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom.
Working Conditions :
  • Long periods of sitting, long periods of screen time, lifting boxes of course materials.
  • Must have the ability to flex working hours to accommodate the need to work early or work late depending on training activities and their start/end time.
  • Must have the ability to efficiently work from a remote setting as needed.
