Kawneer's design expertise, combined with aluminum's flexibility and recyclability, makes our architectural systems and products the right solutions for today and tomorrow.Position Summary: Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Millwright is responsible for ensuring smooth operation of equipment, minimizing downtime, manages the startup and shut down of equipment and troubleshoot equipment issuesResponsibilities:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Adherence to all company safety policies
  • Maintain and upkeep plant equipment and facilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair all plant equipment
  • Complete all assigned work in a timely manner
  • Actively participate in the emergency response team
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to use the onsite Preventative Maintenance EAM program with provided tablet
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:General Qualifications/Experience:
  • Journeyperson Millwright ticket licensed in Alberta (required)
  • Good understanding of hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, pumps, air compressors, mobile equipment, overhead cranes, piping, welding practices, and all plant
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience focusing on mechanical equipment maintenance
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
  • Boiler certification and/or experience
  • Gas pipe fitter
Certificates & Licenses:
  • Journeyperson Millwright certificate (required)
  • Confined Space entry, Fall Protection, Forklift Operator, Genie Boom Operator, First Aid, any other safety related tickets an asset
Work Environment/Conditions: Manufacturing environment with a regular Monday to Friday work schedule. Must be able to work shift work. Occasional overtime may be required. Position is in a unionized environment.Physical Demands:
  • Some heavy lifting may be required
