- Start Date: September 1, 2025
- Lead end-to-end proposal development-from kickoff to final submission-for complex marine and civil construction projects.
- Facilitate kickoff meetings to align on strategy, content, and timelines.
- Craft compelling narratives that highlight our strengths and differentiate us from the competition.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to extract insights and tailor messaging to client needs.
- Maintain and enhance a library of resumes, project profiles, and boilerplate content.
- Conduct research on clients, competitors, and industry trends to inform proposal strategy.
- Continuously improve templates, processes, and workflows for greater efficiency and impact.
- Support the development of prequalification packages, capability statements, and other BD materials.
- Participate in post-submission reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
- Edit and proofread all proposal content, including technical sections authored by others.
- Manage the full proposal lifecycle, including Go/No-Go decisions, submission logistics, and interview preparation.
- Coordinate multi-stakeholder teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables and accountability.
- A post-secondary degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in proposal writing, ideally within construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
- Proven success in developing winning proposals for both public and private sector clients.
- Deep understanding of RFP/RFQ processes and government procurement practices.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate technical content into persuasive messaging.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, especially under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong relationships across departments.
- Competitive hourly rate: $40-$60hour, based on experience.
