- Undergraduate degree or diploma in a clinically related field; health informatics or computer science or equivalent
- EPIC certification in Ambulatory, EpicCare Inpatient Orders, EpicCare Inpatient Clinical Documentation an asset, or certification will be required within 3 months of hire
- Two years of hospital clinical and/or hospital information systems and EMR experience (required)
- Superior experience with MS Office/Windows/Visio experience
- Experience working with Epic EMR (required)
- Values the importance of data quality in an EMR and user security, access provisioning best practices
- Knowledge of how various clinical workflows are conducted in a hospital setting
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate information clearly and concisely with, physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, other clinical stakeholders, and project leadership
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supporting large scale health care information systems and technologies. They will utilize their project management skills to execute on-time deliverables to the organization.
- They will use their expertise and understanding of the organizational culture and clinical application experience in providing support in the delivery of care across the hospital
- Strong communication and conflict-management skills
- Proven attendance record. Highly organized and detail oriented
- Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
