Finance Associate

• Is eager to build a long-term career in property accounting
• Has strong communication skills and can work collaboratively across departments
• Is detail-oriented, organized, and ready to take initiative

• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes including coding, tracking, and processing invoices and payments
• Assist with monthly rent rolls, PAPs, and ensuring tenant information is current and accurate
• Perform monthly reconciliations and financial analysis for a portfolio of properties
• Respond to tenant and vendor inquiries professionally and promptly
• Enter journal entries and maintain accurate financial records
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial statements
• Support the annual budgeting process for both operating expenses and capital projects
• Participate in ongoing financial reporting and special projects as assigned

• Minimum 6+ months of experience in an accounting role with exposure to property accounting
• Degree or diploma in accounting or finance preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
• Knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act is a strong asset
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Experience with Yardi software is an asset
