- Prepare and process manual invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client requirements.
- Reconcile balance sheets and accounts receivable to maintain accurate financial records.
- Post journal entries and verify supporting documentation for all financial transactions.
- Generate and review invoice backups for payroll and monthly expense reporting.
- Manage incoming payments, process employee expense reports, and ensure proper documentation in accounting systems.
- Create monthly reports on accounts receivable aging, delinquent accounts, and contingent liabilities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to verify commission structures and confirm terms are up to date.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including occasional overtime as required.
- Input financial data into ERP systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all records.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with collection agencies and credit insurance providers.
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions and data manipulation.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with billing, accounts receivable, and journal entries, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as PeopleSoft or similar ERP systems is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
- Ability to handle manual invoice processing and prepare financial backups for reporting purposes.
- Currently pursuing or holding an early-stage accounting designation (e.g., CPA) is considered an advantage.
