
Environmental Professional (Project Manager)

- Strategic planning: Develop innovative strategies for the development of large-scale environmental projects;
- Team coordination: direct and inspire multidisciplinary teams, favouring collaboration and innovation;
- Resource management: Optimize the use of available resources to ensure the projects’ success;
- Project management: Guarantee the fluid progress of initiatives, by maintaining a balance between quality and deadlines;
- Coaching and development of professionals: Contribute your expertise to the team’s young professionals, foster their professional development and encourage their growth within the company;
- Environmental project management: Design, coordinate and supervise the performance of environmental projects in transportation and in the mining and energy fields, evaluate the performance of mitigation measures and propose recommendations;
- Environmental sustainability: Promote sustainable practices and environmentally respectful solutions to minimize negative impact and favour positive results;
- Regulatory compliance: Plan and supervise the preparation of environmental authorization applications;
- Environmental risk management: Identify, assess and mitigate the potential environmental risks/issues at different steps of the projects;
- Client relationship proposal and management: Contribute to the development of proposals by involving various aspects, such as strategy and operational planning, and ensure the relationship with the client for project budget and deadline management;
- Communication and reports: Prepare detailed report, impact assessments and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, geography, engineering or any other relevant discipline in environment and project management;
- Master’s degree in environmental science, biology, engineering of any other relevant education or experience (an advantage);
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience, including 5 years’ experience as an environmental project manager;
- Marine environment and mining experience will be considered an advantage;
- Excellent knowledge of environmental laws and regulations;
- Excellent communication, teamwork and multidisciplinary project management skills;
- Excellent leadership skills;
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and take on complex challenges;
- Excellent aptitudes for writing and analysis and ability to synthesize;
- Be structured in management of time and priorities;
- Proficiency in oral and written English. French will be considered as an asset.
