
Inventory Planning Analyst (Concord)

- Ensure inventory is staged to support sales forecasts and major deployments across all regions.
- Collaborate with sales teams, customer support associates, and warehouses to reserve inventory and clear backorders.
- Create and manage stock transfer orders within Canada to balance inventory.
- Ensure production and industrial print orders are fulfilled for month-end revenue delivery.
- Partner with Purchasing to track third-party drop ship backorders and ETAs.
- Run and analyze daily backorder reports for both direct and dealer channels.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Traffic, and warehouses to meet committed ETAs.
- Publish national backorder reports twice weekly and provide ad hoc updates as needed.
- Allocate inventory based on revenue impact, priority, and transportation lead times.
- Manage batch changes for dealer and direct orders, especially at month-end to ensure on-time delivery.
- Use SAP transactions to allocate newly received inventory to backorders across Canada.
- Partner with Marketing to phase out old products and prepare for new launches.
- Ensure correct SAP batch and plant/storage codes are used for EOL items.
- Support smooth national launches by updating processes and ensuring inventory readiness.
- Generate and review inventory requisition plans using SAP MD16/ME5A.
- Adjust requisition quantities to match stock availability and streamline STO creation.
- Optimize inventory by pulling back unused stock after big deployments.
- Provide monthly Inside Sales reports for leadership and Finance.
- Deliver accurate inventory analyses for Marketing and Finance.
- Track KPIs including:
- Zero EOL product inventory.
- Minimized backorders and excess inventory.
- Open box utilization
- Ensure timely, accurate reporting to support revenue targets.
- Post-secondary education (required).
- 5+ years of experience in inventory planning, supply chain, or a related field.
- SAP expertise (inventory & purchasing modules required).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel proficiency essential).
- Strong communication and presentation skills at all organizational levels.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to filter out “forecast noise” and make sound purchasing decisions.
- Project management skills (asset).
