Job DescriptionWhat is the Opportunity?Provides information on the detailed technical design and development of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms. Applies experience and seasoned knowledge, skills, and practices to perform a variety of assignments.What will you do:Be part of an Agile development team comprised of technical, product and business members to develop new services and enhance PayEdge client-facing applications following the best practices and using the latest technologiesWrite clean, maintainable, and efficient code for front-end (PHP/Angular) and back-end (PHP/Spring Boot) applications. Ensure high code quality through automated unit and functional testingModernize and refactor legacy systems to align with current technologies and architectural best practicesTroubleshoot, debug and resolve production issues while driving application stability and performance through proactive enhancements and optimizationsDevelop, optimize, and maintain MySQL databases, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and ensuring data integrityDebug production performance issues across services and levels of the stack and provide primary operational supportAutomate processes within the development pipeline; identify opportunities for efficiency gains and reducing time-to-market and enabling continuous deliveryPerform production support role, including off-hours support (participating in an on-call rotation)What do you need to succeed?Must have:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field5+ years of experience with PHP, Laravel and SQL5+ years of hands-on experience with Angular, Java, REST APIs/Microservices, and Spring Framework (MVC, Security, JPA, Spring Boot)5+ years of experience working with RDBMS, e.g. MySQL, MSSQL, NoSQL, e.g. MongoDB, ELK and data streaming technologies (Kafka)5+ years of experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSSExperience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub, Vault, Security scanning tools, etc.)Ability to work in an Agile environmentStrong problem-solving skills with a focus on clean coding practices and scalabilityGood communication and collaboration abilities.A passion for technology and a love of software development cultureNice to have:Familiarity with major architectural styles, such as Microservices, React or Event-driven systemsKnowledge of modern front-end design trends and technologiesStrong knowledge of Microservices architecture and API integrationDeep understanding of API gateway and security protocols (JWT, OAuth, SSL Certificates)Experience of developing and troubleshooting distributed cloud applications (Azure AKS)Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and testing automation toolStrong understanding of Agile methodologies and the ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiativesWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
