- Full rate of pay, $32.13 per hour following 90 days of service
- Review daily events and reservations with the Culinary Leadership to ensure timely preparation of food items in line with Fairmont’s high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Execute food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation with precision, meeting the expectations of a world-class culinary experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Ensure proper rotation and storage of products in all chillers to minimize waste and spoilage.
- Handle, store, prepare, and serve all food products safely, strictly following Fairmont Waterfront’s guidelines and Food Safety standards.
- Complete all EHC (Environmental Health Consultancy) standards daily, including filling out temperature logs, labelling and dating items, and maintaining cleanliness in food storage areas
- Previous 18 months experience in a high-end kitchen required
- Previous experience working in a luxury hotel an asset
- High level of knife skills
- Diploma/Certification in a Culinary discipline preferred
- BC Food Safe Certification required
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
