We are currently seeking a HR Shared Services Representative to join our Boart Longyear team in North Bay, Ontario. This position will be a member of our local HR shared services team supporting pension and benefits administration for all Boart Longyear Canada, and will provide support as needed on highly confidential human resources matters and special projects.Minimum Qualifications
- Authorized to work in Canada
- High School Graduation Diploma
- 2+ years of relevant pension experience
- A strong mathematics aptitude and comfort handling numerical data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) required
- Positive attitude, team oriented, ability to actively listen and adapt.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including strong listening skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a changing environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Bilingual in French preferred.
Collect, reconcile and review participant data - identifying and resolving issues as they arise
Prepare termination, retirement and death benefits packages for members of pension plans
Calculate various types of benefits and prepare event statements and payment authorizations from pension administration system or manual
Review and analyze membership data
Prepare annual member statements
Calculate PAs, PARs, and PSPAs
Communicate with employees and HRBP's regarding all aspects of benefits administration in adherence to benefit policies and procedures
Perform all work in accordance with rigorous quality control and audit requirements
Interpret and apply the provisions of the plans and the various applicable laws
