- Assess, manage, and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders
- Provide education and in-services to staff, patients, families, and volunteers
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient-centered care
- Establish and maintain partnerships with community groups and external agencies
- Provide referrals and consultation to other professionals as appropriate
- Document clinical services in accordance with institutional and regulatory standards
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to infection prevention and control practices
- Monitor workload and service statistics and report to administration as required
- Maintain equipment and materials while supporting ongoing professional development and departmental activities
- Other duties as assigned
- Staff referral program $1000 (for each successful permanent part-time and permanent full-time new hire you refer to MAHC)
- Enrolment in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)
