- 5 years experience within an oil and gas operations facility and/or pipelines operations
- A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- 4th Class Power Engineering certification (or higher)
- In depth knowledge in safely depressurizing, purging, pressurizing natural gas and liquid pipeline operating facilities as well as pipeline pigging and integrity processes
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to make timely decisions associated with process upsets both during daily work hours and after hours on call as needed
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Ensure the safety of people, equipment, and the environment and that policies and standards are adhered to
- Perform plant operation duties for safe and reliable operations which includes but not limited to safely isolating all assets on the facility as needed to support maintenance, projects and turnaround work
- Report and appropriately flag all pipeline facility site issues beyond your scope to your leader
- Prepare and complete daily operating logs and communicate significant changes and findings in a timely manner
- Provide direction and supervision to the maintenance and contract personnel as required
- Ensure timely action and process adjustments during plant upsets that are consistent with operational objectives and target outputs
- Maintain housekeeping at a high level to ensure a safe work environment
- You will work out of our camp-based Fort Hills mining site, located in Alberta’s Athabasca region, 90 kilometres north of Fort McMurray, Alberta
- The shift schedule is a 12-hour rotation of days (Seven days on / Seven days off) as well as being on call while at location during your shift.

- You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces
