- Develop, maintain, and improve business continuity plans, SOPs, and related documentation
- Conduct Business Impact Assessments for program areas such as dispatch
- Design and run tabletop exercises to test and validate current systems, business continuity plans, and to perform a gap analysis
- Identify emerging and priority risks, and supporting mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery initiatives
- Develop and undertake risk assessments based on the results of Business Impact Assessments and tabletop exercises
- Collaborate with internal programs and external partners, including PHSA, Ministry of Health, Health Authorities, Indigenous partners, EMCR, and other government agencies
- Produce clear briefing materials, reports, and recommendations for leadership
- Support emergency operations infrastructure, including ECC / DEOC readiness, facilities, and equipment
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation (one week several times a year) and working extended hours during emergency events as required
- Lead and support BCEHS response activities during emergencies, including advising on ECC / DEOC activation and deactivation
- A Bachelor’s degree (masters preferred) and recognized training from DRI, BCI or other business continuity schools
- At least 5 years of recent, relevant experience, including 2 years in business continuity within a large, complex, multi-site environment
- Experience working in healthcare, public service, or similarly complex operational settings (preferred)
- Strong understanding of business continuity practices in a healthcare or critical-services context
- Familiarity with provincial legislation and recognized standards and frameworks (e.g., Bill 31, CSA Z1600, HSO 9002, Sendai Framework)
- Demonstrable experience developing plans and delivering training and exercises
- Experience working with diverse partners across jurisdictions and organizations
- Comfort communicating with leadership and operational teams
- Ability to adapt priorities and maintain composure during high-pressure events
- Ability to travel within the province as required
