Position: Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyperson - Offroad - Edmonton ShopProject Type: ShopProject Location: Edmonton, ABShift: DaySchedule:Accommodations: Local OnlyGC: GrahamAllied Partner: Technical Workforce Inc.Reference Number: 30886Jardeg is currently recruiting for a Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyperson - Offroad to work with Technical Workforce Inc. at our Edmonton Shop.The schedule for this position is 5 days on and 2 days off. There will be occasional travel required to different project sites within Edmonton and surrounding areas, specifically our DOW project in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.Responsibilities:
  • Hands on maintenance and repairs of all civil construction equipment including dozers, articulated trucks, excavators, etc.
  • Running repairs and maintenance work
  • Replacing components.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnosing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults.
  • Preventive maintenance and services.
  • Complete work according to the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Work closely with customers maintenance and operations personnel.
  • Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
  • Keep equipment cleaned, lubricated and maintained.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the work done meets manufacturers' specifications and legislated regulations.
  • Complete service reports.
  • Ability to understand hydraulic and electronic schematics.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Provincial Journeyperson or Red Seal Certification in Heavy Equipment Technician trade
  • WHMIS
  • CSTS
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Fall Protection is an asset
  • Reliable transportation
