This position is in Cargill's agricultural supply chain business. We sit at the heart of the supply chain, partnering with farmers and customers to source, make and deliver essential products.Job Purpose and ImpactThe Journeyman Electrician will perform maintenance and troubleshoot complex electrical issues on plant or production reequipment using in-depth knowledge and under occasional guidance and may provide support to others. In this role, you will ensure all electrical assets are maintained in a safe condition while completing preventative maintenance plans.Location: Sarnia, ON

Compensation: $37.00/hr - $41.00/hr Depending on experienceKey Accountabilities
- Perform predictive maintenance and corrective maintenance on facility assets
- Complete scheduled quantitative preventative maintenance inspections on critical equipment
- Documenting all completed work and the conditions found; utilizing maintenance computer software as necessary
- Work independently and/or cooperatively with personnel of various departments to troubleshoot and resolve electrical, control and process systems problems
- Complete installation of new equipment
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.
- Experience with variable frequency drives and various type of sensors
- Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old.
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to work overtime including weekends and holidays with advance notice
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Experience with programming technologies, such programmable logic controllers (PLC) and variable frequency drives (VFD)
- Knowledge of motor control and troubleshooting
- Operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial work platforms
- Knowledge and training in workplace electrical safety standards and arc flash hazards
