
Claims Representative (Hybrid)

- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the claims process, ensuring timely and professional communication.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients via phone queue and online reports
- Review policy coverage, proficiently explain the claims process and set customer expectations
- Have regular contact with the customer and insurer to ensure specific milestones are met throughout the claim
- Advocate for customers when claims issues arise, challenging the insurer on coverage decisions when necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the claims management system
- Collaborate with internal teams, including account managers and service members
- A minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in insurance, preferably with a claims and customer service background would be an asset.
- Knowledge of Personal and/or Commercial Property, Auto & Liability policies would be an asset.
- Ability to interpret policy wordings and explain in a clear and concise manner to clients.
- Excellent organizational, negotiation, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong data entry expertise.
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication abilities and a professional demeanor.
- Self-starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- RIBO License would be asset or the ability to obtain.
- CAIB or CIP designation (or working towards) would be an asset.
