- 7+ years of experience in IT architecture, including at least 3 years in an Enterprise Architect or Lead Solution Architect role
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
- Exceptional communication skills and executive presence, with proven experience partnering with senior leaders (e.g., CIO) and delivering clear, compelling presentations to executive audiences
- Proven track record of designing and delivering solutions in public cloud environments (e.g., Azure or AWS), along with building scalable integration strategies (API Management, iPaaS)
- Strong expertise in integration patterns, data architecture, and cybersecurity best practices
- Hands-on experience modernizing legacy systems while effectively balancing core platforms (such as mainframes or policy administration systems) with modern digital solutions
- Familiarity with architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A strategic, detail-oriented, and highly organized mindset, with the ability to take initiative and excel in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Map business capabilities to technology solutions to identify gaps, overlaps, and opportunities for strategic investment
- Analyze key value streams (e.g., Claims, Underwriting) to uncover inefficiencies, reduce friction, and enhance both operational performance and customer experience
- Act as a critical bridge between business and technology—translating business needs into technical requirements and articulating technical constraints as business risks and trade-offs
- Establish and evolve architecture principles, standards, and guardrails that empower teams to move quickly while maintaining quality, scalability, and security
- Lead evaluations of SaaS platforms, vendors, and emerging technologies to ensure strong alignment with integration, scalability, and security objectives
- Drive the adoption of modern cloud platforms and architectural patterns, reducing reliance on legacy systems and enabling digital transformation
- Partner closely with data and delivery teams to advance AI/ML readiness, ensuring strategies are practical, actionable, and aligned with real-world execution
- Partner closely with the CIO and executive leadership to shape technology strategy, delivering clear, compelling presentations and strategic guidance while driving alignment on key architectural decisions
