- As part of the Material Review Board (MRB), disposition Global 5500/6500/7500 cabin and aircraft nonconformities raised during completion activities, flight testing and delivery to end customers.
- Collaborate and provide technical support to Operations, Methods and Quality.
- Consults with specialists within the engineering community (Flight Science, Stress, Systems and others) as needed to secure optimum resolution.
- Consult with vendors on components outside of Bombardier's design authority.
- Interpret Engineering drawings, specifications, and aircraft manuals. Ensure strict adherence to the design intent when replacing, reworking, or accepting nonconforming items.
- Anticipate and consider end customer requirements.
- You have a Bachelor of Engineering degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience. A technical degree with relevant aerospace experience will also be considered.
- You hold or have held an engineering Liaison MRB approval, at Bombardier or another airframer. You have 2+ years' experience dispositioning nonconformances in aerospace.
- You have the capability to obtain Engineering Liaison MRB delegation on the Global platforms after a short period of on-the-job training.
- You are familiar with metallic and composite aircraft structures as well as aircraft system installation. Knowledge of business jet interiors is a plus.
- You must be a team player with a collaborative approach.
- You are flexible and comfortable working under pressure with a minimum of supervision.
- You have sound technical judgement and a practical approach.
- You have good oral and written communication skills in English. French is a significant asset.
- You know how to browse Engineering mockups in CATIA V5.
