- Conducting/assisting with vegetation surveys including vegetation inventories, listed plant species surveys and weed surveys across various regions throughout western Canada.
- Conducting/assisting with wetland classification surveys
- Conducting/assisting with data entry, analysis and technical reporting including environmental screenings, permit applications, environmental assessments, environmental management plans, and as-built monitoring reports
- Traversing by foot and/or utility vehicle safely through remote, forested, and variable terrain
- Supporting other staff/projects within EDI
- Participating proactively in EDI's health and safety program
- Assisting with terrestrial (i.e., vegetation and/or soils) field data collection for a variety of project types

- A minimum of 5 years of related experience (or equivalent)
- BSc degree in biology or related discipline(s); MSc degree optional
- Registration or eligibility for registration as RPBio, PBiol or PAg
- Demonstrated experience in one or more of:
- Terrestrial ecosystem mapping or land cover classification
- Rare plant, weed, and vegetation surveys
- Rangeland health assessments
- Wetland classification (Alberta wetland assessment experience an asset)
- Demonstrated experience in technical analysis and writing
- Class 5 driver's licence
