If this sounds like you and you’re excited about what you have heard so far, we would love to hear from you.As a Disability Case Manager, you will be working with the EDMP Disability Case Management team and with the Short Term Disability team. As part of your role you will be working closely with employees, employers, union representatives and medical professionals in order to obtain and review objective functional details in order to implement a successful and sustainable return to work plan. The Disability Case Manager will develop relationships with involved parties and provide expert advice to customers on a daily basis.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Review referrals for occupational and non-occupational referrals, conduct intake calls, obtain medical from treatment providers and provide restrictions and limitations to the employers
  • Plan and implement effective disability case management strategies, with a focus on recovery and return to work
  • Review accommodation requests and work with employers, unions and employers on return to work plans
  • Review accommodation requests for stay at work efforts
  • Responsible for disability management communications both verbally and in written correspondence, to all stakeholders involved
Qualifications:
  • Professional designation in a health-related discipline such as Kinesiology and a Certificate or higher in Disability Case Management or similar
  • 3 + years DM experience
  • Related professional designation such as CDMP, RTWDM is an asset
  • Previous EDMP case management is an asset
  • Adjudication experience a must
  • Superior communication and listening skills
  • Extremely organized and able to multi task
  • Able to work within tight time constraints.
  • Tech savvy, with superior computer skills including with Office 365, Teams
  • Excellent documentation and time management skills, able to meet/exceed the required turn-around times
  • Knowledge of appropriate legislation related to employment, workplace accommodations, and disability management, an asset
