This position is to backfill a one-year maternity leave, working Monday to Friday.As the newsreader on Superior Morning, you play an integral editorial role in preparing and presenting the news. You thrive on setting the news agenda for the day, providing critical survival information to audiences in the city and across the region.You know and understand Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario and what’s important to the people who live here. You are resourceful in your ability to find original and breaking news, and you can present it in a clear and concise manner. You are adept at identifying and cutting audio, presenting a complex story in simple terms, and working independently in a fast-paced environment filled with deadlines.You are also responsible for identifying compelling, newsy current affairs stories, scripting interviews and presenting emotional human stories from a diverse range of people.
