
Environmental Technologist (Hazardous Materials Services)

- In-House training (office & field) on sampling programs and procedures.
- Conduct onsite sampling for ambient air and water.
- Conduct site investigations – asbestos, mould, mercury, PCBs, lead etc.
- Conduct field work, including visits to sites and supervise remediation activities
- Conduct Building Condition and Environmental Site Assessments
- Interpret and analyze sample results in relation to legislative requirements and industry-accepted guidelines
- Investigate, test and evaluate moisture and/or air penetration in the building envelope
- Prepare technical reports
- Summarize, collate and interpret results and findings of field investigations and assessments for technical reports
- Prepare drawings and construction review reports
- Manage time of projects effectively and efficiently
- Liaise with clients and sub-contractors to ensure health, safety and hygiene needs are addressed and met
- Develop and maintain positive client relationships
- Strong work ethic
- Be able to work independently and thrive in a team environment.
- Be tolerant of working in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with an ability to follow detailed instructions
- Ability to assist with report writing
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
- Availability to work outside our core business hours and rotational weekends (when needed)
- Valid driver’s license
- There are times when employees are required by our clients to undergo security clearances and/or drug and alcohol testing in order to gain access to certain job sites
