Salary Range$29.53 to $32.97 hourly. Salary and wage increments are in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
The OpportunityTo provide technical, administrative and logistical support in the operation of the Chemistry laboratory including the preparation of chemical reagents, materials and displays, subject to the curricula approval of the Chemistry faculty, and coordinating the maintenance care and control of laboratory equipment and supplies. Provides exceptional client-centred service on a consistent basis to all stakeholder groups.

WHAT IT TAKES
- Excellent working knowledge of preventative measures required for the safe operation of a chemistry laboratory, its supplies and equipment including WHMIS.
- To have working knowledge of the operation and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment and operation.
- Good working knowledge of the English language (written and verbal).
- A demonstrated ability to:
- effectively demonstrate proper laboratory techniques.
- communicate courteously and effectively in person, in writing, and over the telephone with students, faculty, administrators, staff and the public.

- This part-time, regular position is available starting April 27, 2026
- Hours of work will typically be scheduled Monday to Friday, between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm.
- This position is required to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs
- Shift days and times may change depending on operational needs
- Evening and occasional weekend work may be required.
- The position is located at the Coquitlam campus; and will be required to work at all Douglas College campuses and offsite locations
