- Support the development, implementation, and achievement of Finance goals and objectives and ensure these are aligned with the overall business strategic plan and initiatives
- Support cross functional/departmental initiative planning and implementation
- Provide effective financial reporting that enhances the culture of financial accountability throughout the organization
- Design, implement and monitor effective financial systems and processes - purchase to pay, revenue to cash, customer promotions and month-end close - to ensure the accurate, timely and proper recording of financial transactions in accordance with IFRS accounting principles and corporate standards
- Continually seek opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes, procedures and systems that will enhance the quality of work and service provided by all fiancé team members
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, or other relevant accounting standards.
- Manage treasury function including working capital management, cash management, foreign exchange exposure and bank credit facility
- Manage annual audit process including preparation of financial statements with note disclosures.
- Support the preparation of financial and operational budgets, forecasts and plans
- Support the development and reporting of business and financial scorecards to monitor business performance and support effective decision making
- Support the identification, planning and implementation of financial systems and process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness of business resources
- Direct the preparation of special reports and analyses required and make specific recommendations for action when appropriate
- Lead, mentor and coach the Finance team including the development and execution of department strategy
- Post-Secondary Education in Account or related field
- CA required
- 5+ years of accounting and/or management experience preferably within a consumer packaged goods environment
- Experience working with large ERP system is required
- Proactive and able to continuously manage change in an extremely fast paced, energetic work environment
- Leadership and coaching skills; outstanding communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite
