Shift: Monday-Friday; 37 hours per weekJob Summary:
As the Junior IT Factory Project Manager, you will plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of assigned IT Factory projects. You will work closely with all levels of the organization to ensure that the scope and direction of each project is on schedule, budget and within scope. Under IT factory, project types will consist of Infrastructure, Service Desk and/or Workplace (PC) evolutions.
You will be responsible in some cases to lead the project or lead the local aspect of the project all the while reporting status back to the IT Factory PM Lead. You will also be responsible for providing project guidance to other IS resources within IT Factory on small simple projects led by those individuals. The incumbent will be the connection between the local IT Factory team and the IT Factory PM Lead, reporting on all local project status and ensuring all deliverables for local projects are delivered as required.Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Manage the entire project lifecycle following best practices and guidelines to ensure projects are delivered on time, on quality and on budget.
  • Ensure identification of the project benefits during the initiation phase and that processes are developed during the project lifecycle to measure achieved benefits.
  • Apply appropriate methodology (Waterfall or agile) to ensure speedy and accurate execution of the assigned projects.
  • Ensures project scope and deliverables for the project team are understood and approved by business partners.
  • Create and/or coordinate the creation of all selected deliverables as per the SLS project methodology (Projects and technical deliverables).
  • Work closely with the customer to collect requirements specifications to ensure accurate execution by the team members responsible for implementing the project deliverables.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and design sessions with multiple stakeholders to extract requirements that meet stakeholder needs.
  • Create and manage the procurement plan when required by obtaining / reviewing quotes, creating capital expenditure requests, requesting POs, managing the suppliers in collaboration with the technical team.
  • Assist the functional owners with the creation of training documentation.
  • Ensure handover documentation is created and successful support model is implemented for each key deliverable.
  • Ensure peers within the IT / IS Department are kept abreast of projects that will affect their areas and resources.
  • Provide status reports and updates as appropriate and lead daily/weekly review sessions with key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and participate in the delivery of presentations to sponsors, stakeholders and business partners connected to the project.
  • Manages the day-to-day operational aspects of the projects and scope including project logs, issues, action items, risks queries and change management and escalation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with IT Policies, procedures, and application / infrastructure / security standards.

College degree in Computer Science or Business Administration. Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset but not required.Work Experience:
1-3 years of previous working experience preferably in a manufacturing environment

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
Customer service skills
Excellent interpersonal, listening, written and oral communication skills in English (French is a desired asset)
Green belt / Kanban experience is an asset.
Experience in networking recommended.
Hands-on experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modelling and mapping.
Hands-on experience of agile methodologies, especially the Scrum process framework
Experience with managing development, training, testing and implementation of application and infrastructure solutions Hands-on experience with developing training documentations and operational procedures.
Ability to work independently, autonomously and in teams in a cross functional environment.
Ability to troubleshoot issues by performing extensive research and utilizing personal and team experience.Specialized Knowledge: Analytical and problem-solving skills as well as coaching and change management. Knowledge of project management standards, tools and processes. Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Visio, and SharePoint.Communication Skills

External: Outstanding communication skills required for interaction with outside suppliers, customers, and sub-contractors
