
Scheduling Manager

- Facilitate the planning and scheduling process through various construction phases (preconstruction, construction, system completions, etc.);
- Retrieve, consolidate and analyze information from various sources;
- Conduct schedule analysis for constructability, risks and opportunities;
- Collaborate with field supervision on look ahead planning;
- Implement subcontractor schedules into the master project schedule;
- Lead interactive planning sessions;
- Manage schedule scope changes in alignment with contract requirements;
- Analyze schedule delays, impacts and variances to the baseline and generate solutions for scheduling conflicts;
- Communicate plans and schedules internally and externally through effective graphs and reports; and
- Apply leadership skills to support the site manager in project execution.
- Minimum 10 years of industry experience;
- 5-8 years of dedicated planning and scheduling with direct hire trades and subcontractors;
- Position is at the NSWWTP in North Vancouver;
- Thorough understanding of planning and scheduling principles, best practices, and techniques;
- Advanced knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel;
- Utilize information from construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and proposal documents;
- Understanding of Advanced Work Packaging / WorkFace Planning;
- Experience in using schedule delay analysis methods, schedule risk analysis, and 4D scheduling would be an asset;
- An Engineering Technology Diploma or Engineering Degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- Capacity to prioritize work under strict timelines and be adaptable to changing needs;
- A keen eye for detail;
- High Emotional intelligence, especially with regard to social awareness and relationship management;
- Effective listening and oral communication skills (including spoken, written, and visual);
- Capable and confident presenting to small and large groups; and
- Comfortable working with a variety of people, including estimators, field supervision, subcontractors, project management and clients.
