They deliver efficient, practical, and innovative design solutions to the construction industry across Canada. With a portfolio spanning commercial, retail, institutional, and multi-residential developments, they are well known for their client approach and seamless, code-compliant designs that work. THE ROLEWe’re on the lookout for a Mechanical Engineer in Training (EIT) with a passion for building systems and a drive to learn, contribute, and grow. In this hands-on role, you’ll work on a range of mechanical system designs—from HVAC and plumbing to fire protection—for projects across Canada. You’ll collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and building owners to deliver effective, coordinated, and buildable designs. If you thrive in a fast-paced, solutions-oriented environment and are eager to roll up your sleeves, this is your chance to make your mark.RESPONSIBILITIESConduct heating and cooling load analysis using HAP; familiarity with energy modeling tools is a bonusShape initial mechanical design strategies during early project phases and carry them through to detailed construction documentationSize and specify mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection through precise engineering calculationsCollaborate closely with a P.Eng and contribute to technical drawings and design packages using Revit and AutoCADLiaise with clients, architects, contractors, and consultants to align design goals and project expectationsResearch equipment options, connect with vendors, and assist with product selectionsReview shop drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirementsSupport construction administration: respond to RFIs, issue site instructions, and draft change noticesConduct field reviews and site audits to ensure installation meets code and design standards WHAT'S REQUIREDBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a Canadian-accredited institution. We are not looking for candidates with a Masters Degree.Minimum of 1 year of industry experience in Canada in a building engineering environmentFoundational knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systemsAbility to read, interpret, and create mechanical design drawingsExperience with Revit and AutoCAD (a significant advantage) * Registered EIT with PEO or eligible for registration
  • Working knowledge of codes and standards such as OBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, and CSA
