- Assist in the preparation of commercial contracts and other legal documentation, including commercial leases and correspondence;
- Proofread legal agreements, including commercial leases and various corporate documents, and attend to their execution and distribution;
- Update internal status reports for ongoing legal matters;
- Follow-up with tenants and their legal representatives on outstanding documentation, and act as a liaison within, as well as outside, the organization;
- Attend to payment and categorization of legal invoicing and assist with generating various reports relating to legal spend;
- Administrative support such as filing, scanning, photocopying, document uploading to internal databases and submitting expense reimbursements for team members, as required;
- Attend weekly departmental meetings;
- Other duties / projects as required.
- 5-10 years of experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or real estate organization;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels within, as well as outside the organization;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Proven ability to work in a team environment;
- Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities;
- Ability to show initiative and work independently;
- Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.
