The EDI Systems and Admin Manager is responsible for the overall flow and integrity of all EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) data, ensuring stable and error-free operations and administration of all supporting and related systems. They work closely with peer ERP, MES, IT, and barcode labeling teams and utilize tools to facilitate seamless integration. With the current system's architecture of EDI service delivery outsourced to a third-party provider (QCE = QAD Cloud-EDI), business requirements from all internal manufacturing Plants and Corporate teams (e.g., Finance, Procurement, Customs, etc.) are coordinated, vetted, costed, implemented, and supported by the EDI Systems and Admin Manager.The EDI Systems and Admin Manager is also responsible for the effective and efficient delivery. It is expected that the incumbent will participate in meetings, on teams, and on projects to collectively achieve our priorities.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Services Delivery to ensure stable and cost-effective fulfillment for Tiercon EDI data requirements
Engage and manage our services provider (QCE) and, through them, all VAN (Value-Added Network) providers.
Implementation and management of VANs and Trading Partner relationships in support of business requirements from all manufacturing Plants and Corporate Functions
Conduct requirements assessments for new or modified EDI data transactions and connections
Support and shared responsibility for systems and account administration as needed, including data, users, performance, capacity, etc.Technical Analysis and Problem Determination to manage and guide all technical aspects for EDI transactions and connections through the QAD E-Commerce subsystem
Understand and set specifications for EDI data mapping, then implement with both in-house development and/or subcontracting services through QCE.
Oversee and support all routine EDI traffic flows, including releases through 830/862 demand, 856 ASNs, 820 payment, and multiple other EDI standard data transactions needed by the business.
Use OEM Supplier Portal systems to implement new/changed EDI connections, manage business requirements, address traffic issues, and ensure a robust and stable EDI subsystem.Confidential External Posting Format for Recruiters, Temp Agencies, Headhunters
Interface with other ERP and IT systems teams, reporting to a common manager
Experience with EDI transactions and maps is required. Familiarity with a standard ERP system for EDI interfaces is necessary, while QAD and Sterling Ecommerce exposure is a strong asset.
Requirements Management and Collaboration o Working with business or functional peers, this person shall gather, scope, understand, vet, and implement new or changed EDI requirements.
The ability to work independently and be a self-starter with initiative is vital.EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum college-level certification/diploma in the Information Technology field
EDI-specific training program certification
Relevant hands-on support and management of an end-to-end EDI system
Automotive Tier-1 Supplier experience, with full competence on related EDI codes/standards
ERP systems exposure with a strong preference for QAD and the embedded Sterling Ecommerce EDI subsystemEFFORT
Computer-based work on EDI systems, ERP/QAD, web portals, and email, with as-required use of remote virtual conferencing to other remote peers, service providers, OEM, and vendor contacts.
Requirements management, prioritization, concurrent project and issue management, commercial oversight, and responsibility for EDI services and trafficWORKING CONDITIONS
In-office physical presence combined with virtual conferencing to manufacturing Plants and teams located throughout Southern Ontario and in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
Occasional, though infrequent, travel to the manufacturing Plants may be required.
Ability to travel for business to the US from Canada (or vice versa) is preferable, though not required.
