- Lead the design and integration of mechanical systems for industrial buildings and infrastructure.
- Develop project specifications, design criteria, and performance standards.
- Conduct detailed engineering calculations and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to evaluate bids and review vendor documentation.
- Coordinate with structural, electrical, and architectural disciplines to ensure seamless system integration.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to performance reviews and technical development.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and resource forecasting.
- Participate in client meetings and provide technical guidance throughout project lifecycle.
- Assist in developing internal standards and support quality audits.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 16 years of work experience.
- Professional Engineering license (P.Eng or PE) required.
- Proven leadership in managing large-scale engineering projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical codes, standards, and materials.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in engineering software and project management tools.
- Background in mining, heavy industrial, or energy sectors.
- Familiarity with Canadian building codes and environmental regulations.
