The Scientific Data Analyst, Applied Research provides expertise in helping Red Deer Polytechnic (RDP) connect with businesses and entrepreneurs throughout Alberta to collaborate, innovate and find solutions to real-world problems.This position will support cutting-edge research, product development, and applied industry projects by analyzing complex datasets from digital platforms, research systems, and enterprise data sources.In addition to strong analytical skills, this role requires hands-on software development experience. The Data Analyst will be responsible for developing data pipelines, supporting AI-driven workflows and agent-based systems, preparing datasets for large language model (LLM) applications and retrieval-based analytics, and implementing back-end systems to support digital solutions and applied AI innovation.This position will work closely with researchers, technical teams, and industry partners to turn raw data into actionable insights that drive real-world innovation and efficiency.
