This role requires fieldwork, operating surveying instruments, and collaborating with engineers, architects, and construction teams.Job Description
- Conduct land, boundary, and topographic surveys using advanced surveying equipment (Total Stations, GPS, etc.).
- Perform construction layout surveys, ensuring structures and site features are positioned accurately according to design plans.
- Record and analyze survey measurements, site elevations, and land contours.
- Prepare survey reports, maps, and sketches for use in engineering and
- Work closely with civil engineers, architects, and project managers to provide
- Ensure compliance with local and international surveying standards and
- Monitor ground movements, settlement, and deformation in construction projects.
- Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and CAD software to process and visualize survey data.
- Maintain surveying instruments, tools, and calibration records to ensure
- Identify and report discrepancies in site conditions versus design specifications.
- Provide guidance to construction teams regarding site measurements and layout adjustments.
- Primarily field-based, with occasional office work for data processing and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in land, construction, or geodetic surveying.
- Proficiency in using surveying instruments (Total Stations, GPS, Laser Scanners, and Digital Levels).
- Knowledge of surveying software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, Leica, Trimble, or
- Familiarity with local land regulations, zoning laws, and geospatial data
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills to interpret survey data accurately.
- Ability to work in varied outdoor environments under different weather
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
