Journeyperson Carpenter

- Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling materials (wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, etc.) using hand tools, power tools, and machinery
- Installing frameworks, such as walls, floors, doorframes, and roof systems
- Fitting and installing trim, windows, doors, staircases, molding, and hardware
- Building foundations, laying subflooring, and erecting structures
- Inspecting and repairing damaged frameworks or fixtures
- A Team Attitude - ability to follow directions and take guidance
- Strong Safety Acumen - being safety conscious is a must, and adherence to all Health & Safety Policies and Procedures is mandatory
- Strong Communication Skills - you will be working closely with the Site Superintendent, Foreman, Lead Hands, and other team members
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings and accurately interpret complete calculations
- Flexibility - must be able to work out of town as required
- Your own vehicle - must have a reliable means of transportation
- Red Seal Journey Person or equivalent is preferred; relevant experience and related tickets will be considered
