Securiguard Services is looking for individuals who wants to advance their security & professional career with our Campus Unit!At Securiguard our mission is to make people feel safe. As a security professional, you'll contribute to the safety and security of students, staff, and stakeholders by enforcing provincial and municipal regulations, enforcing college policies and procedures, by monitoring CCTV systems and operating security control room equipment, controlling access to site, reporting any hazards or security breaches, and responding to incidents.Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of security experience, preferably in a Healthcare, Mall/Retail, Campus, Corporate/Commercial, Gov't environment, Gatehouse/Construction.
  • Tactical Security Experience and/or a diploma in the field of security or law enforcement is an asset
  • Valid Ontario Security License
  • Standard First Aid & Level C CPR with AED
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Have a valid Ontario Drivers License (either G2/G) & have access to a personal vehicle
  • Must be able to commute within the Barrie and/or Simcoe
  • Comfort with two-way radio communication/dispatch and/or CCTV software
  • Approaches a situation with a listening mindset and empathy
  • Experiencing with de-escalating conflicts and responding to security incident call whether medical, fire alarm, crisis intervention, etc.
  • Capable of standing and walking for a duration of up to 12 hours
  • Ability to problem solve, effective with crowd management and use discretion and good judgment
  • Use of force training and/or Military/Law Enforcement background is an asset.
  • Having a clean drivers absent is an asset
  • Having a smart serve certification is an asset
